means an independently powered computer that relies on a connection to remote computing resources (for example, a computer server or a remote workstation) to obtain primary functionality. Main computing functions (for example, program execution, data storage, interaction with other internet resources) are provided by remote computing resources. A thin client does not have integral rotational storage media and is designed for use in a fixed location during operation.
