Some building components regulated by California’s Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Title 24, Part 6 or Energy Code) must hold certain certifications. Energy Code Subchapter 2 specifies requirements for manufacturing, construction and installation of certain systems, equipment, appliances and building components in greater detail. Note that many of these requirements stipulate labeling, presentation of certificates and other documentation to demonstrate compliance with certification requirements.
