Section 160.0 - General

Multifamily buildings shall comply with the applicable requirements of

Sections 160.1 through 160.9 apply to dwelling units and common use areas in multifamily buildings. Nonresidential occupancies in a mixed occupancy building shall comply with nonresidential requirements in Sections 120.0 through 141.1.

NOTE: The requirements of Sections 160.1 through 160.9 apply to newly constructed buildings. Sections 180.1 through 180.4 specify which requirements of Sections 160.1 through 160.9 apply to additions or alterations.
